Master Printer KAREN D. BECKWITH offers a series of PRINTMAKING WORKSHOPS. From the simply curious about printmaking, to the professional artist who desires to create an edition of fine art prints, Karen has a print studio experience that meets your needs!

Karen Beckwith offers a unique series of printmaking experiences to artists ranging from beginners to professionals. You can choose A day to play, a week to sweat, or an in-depth collaborative experience with A Master Printer!

Karen's printmaking workshops are conducted at PING PONG PRESS, in collaboration with Corrie Slawson, in Cleveland Heights, OH.

COME PLAY IN A PRINTSHOP! These one day printmaking workshops give you the opportunity to experience a range of rewarding print processes. In groups of 1 to 3 people, you can explore COLLAGRAPHS, LINOLEUM CUTS, MONO-TYPES, PLATE LITHOGRAPHY, SCREEN PRINTS and WOODCUTS. Each ONE FOR FUN session focuses on one of these processes, and each session results in finished prints. You will leave the workshop with 1-2 fine art prints in appropriately sized mats with plastic sleeves - a professional presentation that allows you to immediately show off your new found creative prowess! These workshops are great for people who have never been inside a print shop, and they can also be geared for professionals who want a touch of something new, or to execute a small project. While READY TO FRAME PRINTS are the most common projects for these sessions, GREETING CARDS and HOLIDAY CARDS can also be created.

Are you a professional artist that would like to create a fine art edition of prints? MASTER COLLABORATIONS are a challenging and empowering experience which are custom tailored to your creative needs. These creative immersions allow you to execute your artistic vision in printmaking through one-on-one sessions with master printer Karen D. Beckwith. You will develop your idea, articulate it with a choice of mark making techniques, and work in a professional printmaking studio in collaboration with the creative knowledge and technical expertise of a master print maker. You can develop new imagery, or work towards translating a current image into a print. This is not a copy of what you might normally do, but rather an extension of your vision and skill through the application of new materials and new processes. Either way, you will be creating an image that is unique to the challenges inherent in the printmaking process. This is a collaboration that enables you to make something you wouldn't be able to otherwise by accessing very specific technical expertise and creative facilitation specifically geared to you. This meeting of the minds is a powerful way to create, and it offers you a unique opportunity to look at your work from a dynamic new perspective. Fine art print editions numbering 10-25 are the typical result of these master level sessions.

The time frame on these projects ranges from 3-5 consecutive days, to numerous sessions over longer periods of time. The scheduling is tailored to your professional needs. These projects are priced independently and require an initial 1-2 hour consultation where you and Karen will look at your artwork, chat about what you are considering, define what your project will entail, and establish its expected outcome.
